The Chicago Bears are deserving of being seen as the winners of the NFL offseason due to the impressive talent they were able to acquire
The Bears had the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and took USC quarterback Caleb Williams, setting up the position for years to come.
The Chicago Bears should be considered the winners of the NFL offseason after all the talent they managed to add.
However, they also gave Williams weapons to use in Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze and D’Andre Swift to go along with incumbents like DJ Moore and Cole Kmet.
General manager Ryan Poles did an excellent job setting up Williams for success and now the team must do whatever it can to ensure he develops on and off the field.
Chicago might be a couple of years away from competing, but they’re certainly on the right track.
With training camp beginning, Poles gave his honest assessment of the roster he assembled via SiriusXM NFL Radio.
It’s hard not to like what Poles and Chicago did as they pounced on veterans who could immediately help, while also balancing them out with young talent that can grow alongside Williams going forward.
The NFC North boasts the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers who will likely battle it out for the division crown, while the Minnesota Vikings could be a sleeper team.
While it’s hard to imagine the Bears overtaking any of those teams this upcoming season, the goal should be establishing an identity and culture.
Win or lose, Chicago’s in a much better spot than they have been in previous years.
