Guardiola places Haaland on the same level with two balon d’Or winners

Pep Guardiola has placed Erling Haaland on the same level as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo after the Manchester City striker scored in their 2-0 victory over Chelsea.

Despite City not being as dominant in the first half at Stamford Bridge, Haaland’s quick footwork and clinical finishing allowed him to score, bringing his total to 91 goals across all competitions for the Premier League champions. Guardiola believes Haaland is now reaching the same scoring heights as Messi and Ronaldo.

After the match, Guardiola remarked that Haaland’s goal-scoring record is comparable to that of Messi and Ronaldo, who have dominated football for the past 15 years. He praised Haaland’s ability to score 91 goals in just 100 games in the Premier League, calling it “unbelievable.” Guardiola also noted that Haaland appears to be in better physical condition this season, likely due to having more rest, and described his goal against Chelsea as “magnificent.” While acknowledging Haaland’s impressive contributions, Guardiola mentioned that there is still room for him to grow as a player.
