Tristan Jarry’s latest comments are not sitting well with Oilers fans

Tristan Jarry is really trying the patience of Edmonton fans, and coach Kris Knoblauch has a big issue with the goaltending situation.

On Friday night, the Edmonton Oilers lost 6-3 to the Carolina Hurricanes. The defense completely fell apart in the third period, and that’s just not okay.

You want your goalie to make big saves when things get tough. Jarry just didn’t step up, looking lost while trying to stop the puck.

With only an . 880 save percentage in his last five games, he is dragging the team’s energy down. The goalkeeping situation is getting serious. The team didn’t make any moves at the trade deadline, and now all of Edmonton is feeling the impact.

Instead of taking responsibility for letting in six goals, the experienced goalie chose to blame others. His comments after the game shocked many fans.

“We want to be playing with the lead,” Jarry said while sitting at his locker. “With our players, that’s the best way to play. ”

Fans went after him on social media right away because he didn’t seem to realize his mistakes. They are fed up with excuses from a goalie who often misses easy saves.

A Disconnect in the Locker Room

You shouldn’t criticize the scoring abilities of a team with this much talent. Edmonton plays really well with fast breaks, but they need someone to actually stop the other team from scoring.

Jarry has a high 3.85 goals against average since he was traded, which is the real problem. The management brought him in to help the team, not to complain about not getting enough early support.
Knoblauch uses a strong strategy to control the game right from the start when the puck is dropped. If your goalie lets in two easy goals within the first ten minutes, the whole game plan falls apart.

Being behind in the score pushes the team’s best six forwards to take more chances than they should. They stop making accurate passes and playing it safe, instead opting for risky plays that don’t work out well.

The next four home games won’t provide any help for this team that’s struggling. If Jarry keeps playing badly, the team leaders will have to look for a new goalie before the trade deadline.

Fans in Oil Country expect steady performance and responsibility. At the moment, all they are seeing is average goaltending along with obvious mistakes.

Jarry has to focus for a full 60 minutes and keep his thoughts to himself. At this point, he is quickly overstaying his welcome in Alberta.
