All Hell Breaks Loose as Gourde’s Hit on Tkachuk Ignites League-Wide Fury

Yanni Gourde really disrespected the captain of the Senators.

On Saturday, the Ottawa Senators played against the Tampa Bay Lightning in a tough match at the start of the NHL season, and there was no friendliness between these two rivals from the Atlantic Division.

Throughout the game, there were many heated moments between the teams, but one incident that caught attention involved Senators captain Brady Tkachuk and Lightning player Yanni Gourde, showing their irritation.

After Gourde missed a chance to score and the game was paused, Tkachuk chose to annoy Gourde a bit. Tkachuk skated up behind Gourde and seemed to poke him in the neck with his stick, which really angered Gourde.

Gourde then turned around and hit Tkachuk hard, which I don’t remember seeing in the NHL for quite some time. Although Gourde kept his gloves on, he opened his glove just a little to give Tkachuk a powerful slap on the side of his head, making Tkachuk’s head whip to the side.

Technology has caused big and unexpected changes in how we talk to each other, work, and live our daily lives. With the rise of cellphones, social media, and working from home, the distance that once kept us apart is no longer an issue, letting people stay connected and get things done from nearly anywhere around the globe.

We can quickly find lots of information, collaborate with teammates from far away, and share our everyday moments. Because of this strong connection, the way we interact with each other and how businesses run have changed, leading to more flexible working hours and a greater focus on results instead of just being present for a specific amount of time.
