Brutal injury news on ice hockey center captain

The absolute worst news at the absolute worst time

Today, the head coach of the Detroit Red Wings, Todd McLellan, told the press that their captain, Dylan Larkin, will not be playing for at least two more weeks.

McLellan also shared that Andrew Copp will be missing at least two more weeks, and David Perron will be out for at least another week.

Here’s what McLellan said today:

Larkin has not played since March 6th because he hurt his rib after getting hit by a stick from Brayden McNabb, a player on the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Red Wings are currently in a top spot for the Wild Card in the NHL’s Eastern Conference, but they really can’t afford to slip in the rankings in the next four weeks. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that Larkin’s injury could potentially ruin their season.

What are your thoughts, Red Wings fans?
