Hockey Turns Ugly: Yanni Gourde’s Shocking Slap on Brady Tkachuk Sparks Massive Backlash!

Yanni Gourde shows a big lack of respect towards the Senators’ captain.

On Saturday, the Ottawa Senators and Tampa Bay Lightning had a fierce game as part of the early schedule in the NHL, with no friendly feelings between the two Atlantic Division foes.

Throughout the match, there were many rough moments between the teams, but one specific exchange between Senators captain Brady Tkachuk and Lightning player Yanni Gourde really stood out in showing the tension between them.

After Gourde had a good chance to score and play was stopped, Tkachuk decided to pick on Gourde a bit. Tkachuk skated up behind Gourde and seemed to hit him with his stick behind the neck, which really angered Gourde.

In response, Gourde turned around and slapped Tkachuk hard, which is something I haven’t seen in the NHL for a while. Even though Gourde kept his gloves on, he opened up his glove to give Tkachuk a solid smack on the side of his face, making Tkachuk’s head jerk to the side.

Technology has created huge and even surprising changes in how we communicate, work, and live our lives. The rise of cellphones, social media, and working from home has removed the geographic limits that used to keep us apart, letting people stay in touch and get work done almost anywhere in the world. We can quickly access lots of information, collaborate with coworkers from different continents, and share experiences from our daily lives. Because of this level of connection, how we interact with each other and how work environments function have evolved, leading to more flexible work hours and a focus on results instead of just time spent working.
