Oilers prospect Quinn Hutson hits incredible trick shot in all star game

Bakersfield Condors had one player who stood out at the All-Star event, giving fans something exciting to cheer about during the breakaway competition.

You might think the Condors would have had more than one player picked for the All-Star event this year, especially since a lot of them have been performing really well.

To be fair, one player (Connor Ingram) is currently with the NHL team, and another player (Josh Samanski) is competing in the Olympics for Team Germany.

The player who did get chosen has truly shown he deserves to be recognized as one of the best in the AHL and showcased some impressive skills during the Breakaway Challenge.

Naturally, you wouldn’t see Quinn do that move during a real game, but that’s what makes the All-Star skills competitions enjoyable — watching young talents relax and have fun.

When it comes to Hutson’s performances in actual games, he has kept up well with the top players.

In 41 games with the Condors, this 24-year-old player, who was never picked in the draft, has scored 24 goals and racked up 43 points. He even scored once with the Edmonton Oilers when they called him up earlier this season.

This standout from Boston University is one of the top players in the AHL. He ranks third in goals, ninth in points, and third in power-play goals.

He is also the leading rookie in the AHL for goals and points, and he received the title of AHL’s Rookie of the Month in December after getting 9 goals and 4 assists in eight games.

On January 12, 2026, the Oilers gave Hutson a two-year contract extension worth $875,000 a year.

There’s a good chance we will see Quinn wearing an Oilers jersey before the season ends, and it’s likely he’ll make the team for the Oilers’ 2026-27 training camp.
