Wallstedt has been outstanding for Minnesota this season. The 23-year-old has a . 910 save percentage in 25 games, showing that he is definitely ready for the NHL.
He has already achieved 14 wins and has 4 shutouts. He follows the puck well even when there are many players around and doesn’t get shaken after letting in a tough goal.
However, the Oilers don’t have the center depth that Minnesota is looking for. Making this late trade would require some careful moves from the management team.

Letting go of a fan-favorite like Ryan Nugent-Hopkins could be the only realistic way to make this trade happen. It’s a huge cost for some solid help in goal.

Throughout his career in the NHL, he has shown tremendous loyalty to the Edmonton team. He often makes great plays and plays a key role in the forward line.

But Minnesota really needs that same level of scoring to help them push through the tough playoff games. They are not willing to go backward while they still have a good chance to win a championship.
Edmonton may have to let go of a good player like Beau Akey and a 2nd round pick to make things fair. The sports world can be tough, and fixing their goalie situation takes serious actions.
Losing a center who scored 47 points hurts a lot for the devoted fans. However, getting a possible future star goalie can completely change how the Oilers perform this spring.
