Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott acknowledges the significant void left by Stefon Diggs’ departure in the upcoming season.
The unexpected trade of Diggs to the Houston Texans marked the loss of the team’s primary wide receiver and a cornerstone of their journey to Super Bowl contention. McDermott expressed to reporters on April 18 that Diggs’ contributions were irreplaceable and emphasized the necessity for collective efforts from multiple players to compensate for his absence.
“Stef is an exceptional player,” McDermott remarked. “We’ve had remarkable moments together, achieving victories that he played a pivotal role in securing. Addressing the realities of trading Diggs amid salary cap constraints, McDermott admitted to the difficulty of such decisions.
