Brooks Koepka and Tiger Woods headline PGA Championship field

Brooks Koepka, the three-time champion and reigning title holder, alongside golf legends Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, as well as the current world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, are set to headline the prestigious PGA Championship next week.

The PGA of America unveiled the roster of 154 out of 156 competitors who will vie for glory at the esteemed Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, with the tournament teeing off on May 16.

The remaining two slots are reserved for the winners of the Wells Fargo Championship and Myrtle Beach Classic. However, if a player who is already exempt clinches victory, the PGA of America will resort to the alternate list.

Koepka, who clinched his fifth Major title last year at the PGA Championship held at Oak Hill Country Club, has established himself as a force to be reckoned with, having also triumphed in 2018 and 2019.

Woods, with an illustrious career boasting 15 Major victories, claimed the PGA Championship crown in 1999, 2000, 2006, and 2007, while McIlroy, the former world No. 2, secured wins in 2012 and 2014.

Scheffler, a notable contender who finished as the runner-up in 2023, will join the top 103 players in the official world golf ranking in the challenging Valhalla course.

Among the competitors, LIV Golf will showcase 15 other notable players, including the likes of World No. 5 Jon Rahm of Spain, No. 17 Tyrrell Hatton of England, and No. 56 Cameron Smith of Australia.
