According to Calciomercato.com, Milan is getting closer to signing Villarreal forward and Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze after productive talks between the two clubs on Wednesday
Villarreal reportedly values their player at about €35 million, but a deal might be reached for closer to €30 million plus bonuses.
According to reports, Milan and Chukwueze have already agreed on Chukwueze’s salary and have reached an agreement in principle. Chukwueze is said to be enthusiastic about the move.
The Rossoneri had also been considering a deal for Arnaut Danjuma, a Villarreal player, but Fabrizio Romano says that he appears likely to join Everton instead.
According to Calciomercato, if Milan were to acquire Chukwueze, they would have used up both of the specified slots they are allotted for non-EU player arrivals each year.
If Chukwueze does sign, Milan would have to abandon their pursuit of Porto and Iranian attacker Mehdi Taremi because Ruben Loftus-Cheek has already occupied one of those spots.
