La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Chelsea are growing impatient with Romelu Lukaku because he refuses to transfer to Saudi Arabia and remains looking for a new European team
According to the pink tabloid, Al-Hilal has increased its bid for the 30-year-old to €50 million per season. The Saudi Pro League team has offered Chelsea the same amount, which is more than Juventus’ €40 million offer.
Gazzetta reports that Chelsea is getting impatient with the former Inter striker and is pressuring his agent to make a decision about Lukaku’s future.
Last week, the Belgian declined to return Inter’s calls and instead began speaking with Juventus. As a result, the Nerazzurri have given up on trying to sign him and are now focusing on other players like Alvaro Morata and Folarin Balogun.
Lukaku is presently working out at Cobham and hasn’t been to the United States with the rest of the Chelsea team for their preseason vacation.
Last week, Tuttosport stated that Sebastien Ledure, Lukaku’s attorney, would accept Al-Hilal’s offer, but the striker wants to continue competing in Europe.
Il Corriere dello Sport reports that Juventus is prepared to make a bid for Lukaku regardless of whether Dusan Vlahovic is sold. According to the Rome-based newspaper, Lukaku and the Old Lady have already reached a personal agreement.
