Sport claims that Thiago Alcantara may consider making a comeback to Barcelona. Any return to Catalonia is not simple, as both Liverpool and the Spanish team are considering their options as they continue to struggle financially.

This transfer window will be challenging for Jurgen Klopp since all of his ideas must be drastically altered. The German manager had wanted to enhance the midfield by getting rid of the dregs and bringing in top-notch players. Liverpool moved quickly to release players who weren’t considered good enough and bring in players with the necessary caliber.

After Merseyside careers marred by injuries, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, and James Milner all left to make room for the incoming class. Meanwhile, Klopp has signed Alexis Mac Allister, who was a top target, and will be thrilled that Dominik Szoboszlai has joined the team.

His ambitions have been derailed recently by the Saudi Arabian league because Fabinho is about to join Al Ittihad. Jordan Henderson also reached a lucrative agreement with Al Ettifaq. If Thiago Alcantara leaves as well, Liverpool’s squad will lose a significant amount of experience.

As he would require some experienced minds in the middle, Klopp will have to make another focused attempt in the market to bring in fresh players as replacements. In the meanwhile, the German will hope that Thiago stays given his connections to Galatasaray.

The 46-cap Spanish international has already turned down Saudi Arabia’s advances because he could prefer to remain on the continent. According to the article, Thiago is daydreaming of going back to Barcelona. The midfielder may find the concept appealing given that he is in the final year of his contract and may wish to end his injury-plagued seasons here.

Any return to Catalonia, meanwhile, will be difficult because Barcelona lacks the financial resources to make such a transfer materialize. They required a center midfielder, but have already signed former academy star Oriel Romeu.

After losing players like Sergio Busquets, Thiago would add the experience needed, but the club is cautious. Franck Kessie, 32, of Liverpool, might, however, become a plausible and practical option for the Catalans to explore if Barcelona manages to sell the forward for a sizable profit.
