The captain has been absent since the Olympics
It’s another day, and once again, Sidney Crosby was seen at Penguins practice.
The captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins has not played with his team since before the Olympic break in February due to an injury he got while playing for Team Canada in their quarter-final game against Czechia.
Crosby participated in practice this past weekend but didn’t join his teammates in the fast-paced drills. However, today it seemed like that changed because Sid the Kid was moving quickly out there before the Penguins’ game tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Crosby won’t be playing in tonight’s game, but it wouldn’t be surprising if he is back in action this weekend. Some reports, which haven’t been confirmed, say that Crosby is recovering much faster than expected and he wants to play before the Stanley Cup Playoffs start in a month.
The Penguins feel pretty safe in their playoff position since the Blue Jackets are four points behind them, but you know Crosby is eager to get back on the ice and help his team prepare for a great run at the Cup.
