Tiger Woods ridiculed by legendary coach because of ………

Butch Harmon, the renowned former coach of Tiger Woods, recently shared that he gained more personal insights from coaching Greg Norman than from working with Woods.

In an interview with Iona Stephen on the show “On the Road with Iona,” Harmon reflected on his coaching experiences, including his time with the current LIV Golf commissioner, Greg Norman.

When asked which of his students taught him the most about himself, Harmon was momentarily taken aback. Despite having coached a roster of elite golfers such as Ernie Els, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, and Rory McIlroy, Harmon identified Norman as the most influential in his personal growth.

Harmon praised Norman, also known as “The Great White Shark,” as one of the greatest players in golf history. Despite only winning two major championships, Norman’s global victories and exceptional driving skills, particularly with a wooden driver, left a significant impression on Harmon.

According to Harmon, Norman’s various business ventures demanded strict time management, which in turn made Harmon more efficient in his coaching. “Greg taught me how to budget my time effectively and be fully invested in each player,” Harmon explained. This lesson in time management was crucial as Harmon balanced coaching multiple top-tier golfers.

Harmon also highlighted Norman’s underrated short game and his ability to drive the ball precisely. He expressed regret that Norman does not receive the recognition he deserves for his talent, noting, “It’s too bad he doesn’t get the credit he deserves because, God, he was good.”

Harmon’s reflections came amidst rumors of a potential peace deal between the PGA Tour and Norman’s Saudi-backed LIV Golf. Should an agreement be reached, it could see LIV golfers rejoining the PGA Tour, marking a significant shift after nearly two years of disruption in the men’s game.
