Signs of problems in Edmonton after Tristan Jarry creates tension with his teammates.
The Edmonton Oilers have been struggling with their goalkeeping for a while, but things might have gotten worse after the questionable decision to trade for goalie Tristan Jarry.
Recently, Oilers insider Bob Stauffer shared that Jarry hasn’t been making a good impression on his new teammates. He mentioned a heated moment that happened during a practice session with the Oilers.
“There are some things happening that worry me about Tristan,” Stauffer said on Oilers Now. “I could sense some tension on the ice during practice, and it seemed like there were some conflicts. I didn’t like that Jarry mentioned the defense play after our team lost 7-3 to Minnesota. ”
Stauffer works for the Oilers, so if he’s bringing this up, it shows that Jarry’s relationship with his teammates might not be good. It got worse when NHL insider Elliotte Friedman talked about reports of Jarry having disagreements with his teammates.
“There’s a lot of chatter about Jarry arguing with some teammates during practice,” Friedman said on the 32 Thoughts podcast. “The Oilers have had a tough year. ”
It’s hard to say that the trade for Jarry has been successful since the experienced goalie has a poor 3.96 goals against average and only a . 862 save percentage in 13 games with the Oilers. With these trade-related issues also causing problems within the team, it could lead to a serious crisis for the Oilers, who are already struggling to reach the playoffs this season.
