£38mDeal Done and Medical Completed – Man United target who is ‘better than Antony’ confirmed to sign for Premier League rivals

Mohammed Kudus, a Manchester United target, will instead join a Premier League opponent, according to Fabrizio Romano

The Ghanaian has been on Manchester United’s radar since his arrival due to his friendship with Erik ten Hag at Ajax.

This summer window, Sky Sports reported that Manchester United, along with a bevy of other Premier League clubs including Chelsea and Arsenal, were interested.

However, none of these three clubs were able to recruit the young forward, and another top-flight club swooped in instead.

West Ham United have agreed to sign Mohammed Kudus

The Hammers are on the verge of signing Kudus, as announced by the ever-reliable Fabrizio Romano with a “here we go!”

The Ajax player passed his physical, allowing the team to complete the transfer.

He’ll sign a deal through 2028, with a one-year extension option. On Sunday, this is expected to be signed.

West Ham has signed a promising young prospect. He recently played his farewell game for the Dutch national team, scoring three goals against Ludogorets.

This begs the issue of whether United took the right player from the Eredivisie squad.

Kudus… is he better than Antony?

Antony is one player who has received a lot of flak this season. He hasn’t lived up to his price tag since arriving from Ajax.

This is a make-or-break season for the Brazilian, who has had more than enough time to adjust to English football.

This raises the question of whether United signed the wrong Ajax forward. Former Dutch icon Marco van Basten appears to believe so, claiming to be ‘better than Antony’.

Only time will tell whether Kudus will succeed in the Premier League. However, it appears to be a fantastic signing for David Moyes’ side.
