Doughty’s biting comments on Tkachuk surface, spark debate on if he would make Team Canada

The Tkachuk brothers have been a hot topic lately after Matthew made a pointed comment about Leon Draisaitl. This has led people to wonder if both brothers would be chosen for Team Canada.

Matthew Tkachuk’s remark of “always the bridesmaid” aimed at Draisaitl became popular among sports fans, but it’s also led to some negative feedback about how he plays and how he leads.

From what Drew Doughty has said, it seems he doesn’t believe Matt Tkachuk would be selected for Team Canada.

NHL fans are talking about whether both Tkachuk brothers could be part of Team Canada. Many hockey fans appreciate their skills, but getting onto Canada’s top team is tough. Opinions among fans are divided on this issue.

If we’re being honest, Matthew Tkachuk should definitely be on Team Canada. He has several seasons where he scored over 100 points, has won a Stanley Cup, and plays with great effort. Considering which players fill what roles, Matthew could likely take the place of Brandon Hagel, Nick Suzuki, Sam Bennett, or Seth Jarvis on Canada’s roster.

Brady, on the other hand, doesn’t have the scoring stats or playoff experience to prove he deserves a spot on Canada’s team. While Matthew is ranked as the 19th best player in the tournament, Brady is not even in the top 40.

Some Canadians might even think that Matthew wouldn’t make the team. Drew Doughty has made comments in the past that suggest he doesn’t see Tkachuk as a standout player.

If Doughty still stands by those earlier remarks, it’s hard to imagine he believes Matthew Tkachuk would be on Team Canada—let alone be a strong case for Brady.

As for how the tournament is shaping up, Canada and the USA likely won’t face off until the Gold Medal game. Fans want to see this match-up because they hope to watch the best teams compete against each other.
