“I’m disappointed, for sure. It was just a messy play. Really just disappointed.
I think we played well. Their goalie was fantastic.
We just have to move on. Keep going.
Overall, it was a good experience, but it ended on a disappointing note. We fought hard to reach this stage, and I’m proud of the team for making it this far. Thank you.”

This loss meant more than the 4 Nations. Losing on a big stage like this is just devastating.
Especially after McDavid wrote a letter to Canadian hockey fans before the Olympics, you could see how much this meant to him and Team Canada.
“I just want to win something again, to be honest.
Maybe it was the red Canadian jerseys, but looking at the team reminded me, ‘Wow, I grew up watching you. I saw you play on Saturday nights. This is a real honor. ’
At that moment, with everything at stake, we all remembered what it was like to be a hockey fan. To be a fan of Team Canada. To be Canadian. ”
