Oilers seal Tristan Jarry’s fate, and the message is clear

The Edmonton Oilers are giving Connor Ingram a chance to start against the Vegas Golden Knights. Head coach Kris Knoblauch is fed up with seeing leads disappear every night.

Tristan Jarry is officially on a warning after several terrible games. The coaching staff is making it clear that they expect more from the experienced goalie. It’s tough, but it was necessary. Ultimately, a spot in the playoffs is at stake.

You either block the shots or you sit on the bench. Jarry has been having a hard time with the Oilers, showing a poor . 862 save percentage since he joined in December.

That kind of goaltending just won’t cut it for a team that has high hopes for the Stanley Cup. The chances of making the playoffs are now at serious risk for this talented group.

Edmonton is very close to not making it to the postseason at all. The goalies are literally costing the team winnable games every night.

Right now, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are doing most of the work. Their outstanding scoring doesn’t matter if the goalies keep letting in weak goals from the outside.

Ingram needs to step up and help the team win a game. He must bring his best game tonight against a strong and relentless Vegas Golden Knights team.

The Net is Connor Ingram’s for Now

Throughout his NHL career, Jarry has had moments of greatness as a starting goalie. But right now in Edmonton, we are not seeing that confident player.

The Oilers brought him in hoping for steady play in goal. Instead, they got a big problem who struggles to keep track of the puck in busy situations.
Now all the pressure is on Ingram. He has a save percentage of . 890 after playing 17 games with Edmonton this season.

He needs to have a great game to make sure he gets to be the starting goalie for good. The Oilers’ fast-paced game relies on strong defense to work well.

Knoblauch is taking a big risk with his job at stake. Ingram did better last week by stopping 28 shots, but he needs to be consistent to really prove himself.

If Ingram has a bad game tonight, the team will start to panic. There are already talks about trading players who might be free agents soon.

The Golden Knights will come at the net hard and test Edmonton right from the start. The defense needs to do a good job and clear any shots to keep their goalie safe.

It’s time to get serious in the Battle of Alberta. We will find out who can step up when the game starts at Rogers Place tonight.
