Kris was asked about how well the team played defense against the Utah Mammoth and how they managed to reduce the number of risky shots.
“It’s about keeping things simple,” Knoblauch replied. “We don’t need to rush to score. If we see a good chance to score quickly and we have more players than them, we will go for it. But if they have more players back, it’s tough to create scoring chances. No matter how skilled you are or how great your pass is, it often results in losing the puck and not being able to spend time in the attacking zone. We are really focused on making it hard for their defense, and we have worked well on our forechecking. ”
