An unbelievable event took place at Rogers Place during the Oilers game!
On Saturday night, Rogers Place witnessed something amazing, and I’m not referring to the actual game between the Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights.
During the matchup of these Pacific Division teams, an unexpected announcement came through the broadcast that a woman was having a baby inside the arena. The well-known Hockey Night in Canada reporter, Scott Oake, shared this exciting news in his unique style.
“There’s a baby being born on the 7th floor of Rogers Place right now,” Oake announced during the HNIC broadcast. “Someone is going to have a fantastic story to share. ”

In his classic Scott Oake way, he joked that maybe the mother could join him on his After Hours segment, imagining how funny that would be.
“It would be great to have the mother come on After Hours to share her experience, but that might be asking too much,” said Oake.
It was an incredibly strange moment for everyone watching live, and I really hope we hear later about how the mother and her baby are doing.
