Announcement Awaiting – Man Utd chief arrives at France capital to seal 35m + 5m addon as player undergoes medicals with the club

Personal conditions were agreed upon yesterday, and the agent of the £30 million defender in London is currently working to complete the transfer before the next 24 hours to welcome Ten Hag's sixth signing

Manchester United is keeping an eye on Fiorentina’s Moroccan defensive midfielder Sofyan Amrabat this summer

Sofyan Amrabat has not received any offers, according to Fiorentina.

United are willing to buy a new midfielder before the end of the summer transfer season. Last weekend, they sold Fred to Fenerbahce, and Donny van de Beek could also be on the move. During the Reds’ 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, it became evident that the midfield was a weak point, with Casemiro seeming isolated when the opposition broke forward.

United is keeping an eye on Amrabat after he impressed at the World Cup last winter. The midfielder is generally expected to depart the Serie A club this summer, and one of the club’s directors, Daniele Prade, said as much during an interview on the club’s official YouTube channel.

“The situation is clear,” remarked Prade. “He wants to join a top club, and we want to please him, but if no offers come in, he will stay with us.”

“We don’t have a player like him in the team.” Erik ten Hag was asked about his plans for the remaining two weeks of the transfer window at his pre-match press conference on Friday.

While he was pleased with his squad, he informed reporters that his recruitment staff was ready to strike. “Our squad is covered – all the positions are covered – but, of course, we are Manchester United, and we are always looking for improvement,” Ten Hag said.

“And if the opportunity arises, we will strike in the next two weeks.” As I previously stated, we are always searching for new opportunities, but I believe we have a strong group. [With] this squad, we are confident that we can achieve our goals.”
