According to Sky Germany, Fabinho of Liverpool is a possibility to play as Bayern Munich’s number six midfielder
Bayern are reportedly interested in the 29-year-old midfielder, although Fabinho is about to sign with Saudi Arabian team Al-Ittihad. This weekend, the deal is expected to be completed at some point.
If the deal falls through, Bayern might try to take advantage and try to sign the Brazilian.
Declan Rice, who is currently playing for Arsenal, was mentioned in connection with Bayern earlier this summer. The two sides even met, but Bayern ultimately decided against making a bid for the English midfielder.
As the pairing of Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka failed toward the conclusion of the season, Bayern is searching for a real defensive midfielder. The team feels that if they find a number six, they can then maximize Kimmich’s offensive abilities.
