Buffalo Bills’ $24 Million Free Agent Signing Named One of ‘Worst’ in NFL

Buffalo Bills are banking on Curtis Samuel to fill the void left by Stefon Diggs, but opinions vary on whether he’ll truly bolster Josh Allen’s passing game in 2024.

Inking Samuel to a three-year, $24 million contract in March, Buffalo is optimistic about his potential. However, some, like Bleacher Report’s Ryan Fowler, are skeptical, labeling Samuel one of the NFL’s “worst” free agent signings this offseason.

Fowler suggests that while Samuel and Khalil Shakir offer a parallel skill set, acquiring a true ‘X’ wideout like Tee Higgins would have been wiser for Buffalo.

Although Samuel’s stats from last season aren’t eye-popping, there’s optimism as he partners with Allen, the most dominant quarterback he’s played with so far.

Presently, Samuel is poised to lead Buffalo’s receiving corps alongside Shakir and Mack Hollins. Yet, with an extra sixth-round pick from the Diggs trade, the Bills may target top receiver prospects in the upcoming draft, potentially adding more firepower to their offense.
