Although the winger is scheduled to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, Chelsea has put off the transfer in an effort to raise the price as much as possible.

Several Premier League and Serie A clubs were interested in Hudson-Odoi’s talents until the Blues rejected an approach from their nearby rivals Fulham last week.

But while Lazio has lately entered the race and Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest have been priced out of a deal, Maurizio Sarri’s team are hoping to negotiate a loan move with a buy-back clause.

As a result, Mauricio Pochettino might be compelled to accept whatever Fulham offers come their way if they want to get the 22-year-old for a fixed price.

The Evening Standard reports that the player, who presently makes over £120,000 per week, has agreed to personal terms with his potential future team, and that the transfer is almost complete.

In contrast to fellow Chelsea exiles Romelu Lukaku, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, and Hakim Ziyech, who have been practicing by themselves at Cobham, Hudson-Odoi has been working out with the U21s to keep himself in shape before a prospective transfer

The three-cap England international was once hailed as the future of his club and nation, but since breaking into Chelsea’s first squad in 2018, he has struggled with injuries and a lack of consistency.

His prospects were supposed to be revived by a loan to Bayer Leverkusen last season, but the forward only had one goal and one assist in 21 games.

He is thought to be adamant about signing with Fulham, particularly after manager Marco Silva underlined his commitment to the Cottagers by declining a £40 million offer to manage Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli.

The West London team is close to bringing in Calvin Bassey from Ajax, Mohammed Salisu from Southampton, and Raul Jimenez from Wolves in an effort to build on their remarkable 10th-place result from the previous year.

Though Fulham may be ready to lose star striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, who reportedly told family he will not play for the club again after they priced him out of a transfer to Al-Ahli, the trio will cost little over £30 million collectively.
