The Reds’ Premier League campaign will begin on August 13 when they travel to London to take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Their first home game will thereafter be against Bournemouth.

Given that several players left Anfield this summer, Klopp’s team for the match against the Blues is likely to look quite different from the one that concluded the previous season.

When their separate contracts expired at the end of June, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Roberto Firmino, and James Milner all left the team. It now appears like a further first team star will follow them.

Jordan Henderson, a midfielder, has finished his season, claims Football Insider, has completed a medical ahead of a move to Saudi Arabian side Al Ettifaq

According to the source, the England international is scheduled to sign a record-breaking £120 million contract to join the Pro League team.

When he joins Al-Ettifaq, Henderson, 33, would reportedly earn a staggering £700,000 each week, or more than £36 million annually.

The midfielder moved to Liverpool from Sunderland in 2011, and since then, he has played in 492 matches in all competitions.

He has led the team for the previous few seasons and has won every major trophy available to him during his stay on Merseyside.

Since Steven Gerrard, a former colleague of Henderson’s from the Reds, was appointed manager of the Pro League squad earlier this month, the two will rejoin in the Middle East.

Henderson will be the newest player to transfer to Saudi Arabia after Liverpool reportedly accepted a £12 million deal for him.

Henderson appears likely to follow a number of other players who have already finalized deals to the Pro League this summer, including Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, and Edouard Mendy.
