According to Fabrizio Romano, a representative of the Saudi Premier League is in England to finalize the transfer of Fabinho, with Liverpool expecting to receive up to £40 million in compensation for the Brazilian international.

Two Liverpool midfielders, including Fabinho, are expected to sign with Saudi Arabian teams the next week. Jordan Henderson is close to rejoining Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq in a £12 million deal.

There is no disputing, however, that Liverpool’s acquisition of Fabinho by Al-Ittihad is one of the biggest coups of the transfer window as it allows them to continue forward with their intentions to restructure the midfield position.

In fact, Jurgen Klopp will now have the ability to buy a replacement who can anchor Liverpool’s midfield for many years to come. The Reds are keeping an eye on players like Romeo Lavia and Cheick Doucoure.

The transfer of Fabinho to Al-Ittihad is a fantasy for those involved

Few people anticipated that Fabinho would leave Liverpool this summer, but Al-Ittihad has given the Reds a chance at redemption that no supporter would refuse, making this transfer a win-win situation for all parties.

For Fabinho and Al-Ittihad, the midfielder completes the deal of a lifetime, adding to the Saudi giants’ already-impressive roster of superstars and securing his future for himself and his family for the next five generations.

While Klopp and his team are now able to sign the right replacement for Fabinho, who will need a successor sooner rather than later, Liverpool’s ambition to reconstruct the midfield is now advanced by a year.
