Fabrizio Romano proves 27-year-old is now going to ‘fight’ to join Manchester United this week

Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat is willing to ‘fight’ for a move to Manchester United until the transfer deadline

Mason Mount was injured, therefore Christian Eriksen was placed into the middle against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Eriksen’s game-winning goal pulled United back into the contest after falling down 2-0 early on.

However, there were still problems in the midfield, with Forest runners being able to break forward with little resistance.

Casemiro is being asked to cover too much ground at this juncture in his career, while Eriksen’s movement and defensive instincts aren’t suited to being a long-term option.

United are still hunting for another midfielder, and there is no doubt who Erik ten Hag’s top aim is.

Sofyan Amrabat is determined to join Manchester United.

United’s main objective is Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat, who previously worked with Ten Hag at Utrecht in the Netherlands.

This rumour has been around for months, but United are yet to conclude a deal for the Moroccan international.

Fabrizio Romano has been chatting about Amrabat on YouTube while United is still looking for an agreement.

According to Romano, Amrabat would fight to join United before the deadline, and he has been hoping for a move from United since the end of June.

In fact, Amrabat is willing to wait even longer, with the midfielder willing to wait until the transfer window closes to complete his dream move to Manchester United.

Amrabat will not play for Fiorentina before the transfer window closes, therefore he will miss today’s match against Lecce as well as Thursday’s Europa Conference League match against Rapid Wien.

Amrabat has made it clear that he wants to leave, but United must still make an effort to sign him.

“Amrabat will fight to join Manchester United, and he’s already doing his best because he’s been waiting since the end of June,” Romano explained. “It is critical that Manchester United make a bid to Fiorentina now because contacts between the clubs have occurred multiple times through intermediaries, but there has still been no formal bid to Fiorentina.” Fiorentina is still waiting for Manchester United to make a bid, but no offers have been made. Amrabat will keep waiting till the transfer window shuts.”

“Also, the player is not in Fiorentina’s squad for Sunday’s game, and he will not train with the first team until the transfer window closes.” His message to the club is straightforward: he wishes to depart as soon as possible.”

Manchester United would be a wonderful fit for Amrabat.

Several midfielders have been connected in recent times.

Amadou Onana of Everton and Ryan Gravenberch of Bayern Munich have recently been linked.

Both are physically threatening midfielders, although they are more box-to-box players at this stage of their development.

United are now in need of a defensive midfielder, and Amrabat fits the description.

The Moroccan midfielder may play alongside Casemiro or fill in as the primary holding midfielder for the Brazilian when necessary.

Amrabat, 27, still has a lot of potential, and a fee of around £30 million would be excellent business given how the market for midfielders has recently skyrocketed.
