According to a source, AC Milan is thinking about signing Atalanta defender Matteo Ruggeri to provide Theo Hernandez’s spot more depth
Claudio Raimondi of Sport Mediaset has stated (via Milan Zone) that Ruggeri would need to cost at least €10 million for Milan to be successful.
Since Fode Ballo-Toure is anticipated to depart the team in the upcoming weeks with Bologna and Fulham both rumored to be keen interested, there is a need for a replacement left-back at the club.
Although Hernandez will continue to be Stefano Pioli’s first choice left-back, he needs another player who can play in that position.
Ruggeri has not been particularly remarkable for Atalanta since he began to play regularly for the first team group, but Milan believes he could be a possibility to add depth. Being Italian also facilitates registration-related matters.
