Getafe has been instructed by a Spanish domestic violence charity to reconsider their selection of Mason Greenwood from Manchester United.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Spanish domestic violence charity Ana Bella Foundation has begged the club to reverse its decision after Getafe faced harsh criticism for signing Greenwood.
According to Ana Bella Estevez, the club is giving a bad example. Getafe executives ought to immediately reverse their hiring of Mason Greenwood because they were wrong to do so.
“There is no justification to take a neutral stance on violence against women if you’re a public-facing organisation like Getafe – you must take moral responsibility.”
It was revealed earlier this month that United and Greenwood concurred that the best course of action for the forward to continue his career elsewhere.
On deadline day, the 21-year-old completed a loan move to Spanish La Liga side Getafe.
