'I can't defend you.' Andre Onana makes a massive clanger to concede against Bayern Munich, and even Manchester United fans exclaim

ANDRE ONANA made a big mistake to give Bayern Munich the lead, and even Manchester United admitted they couldn’t stop him.

The Red Devils started well in what turned out to be a 4-3 Champions League loss in Germany, and they were holding the Bundesliga heavyweights at bay until calamity hit.

With 28 minutes remaining, Leroy Sane cut in from the right and played a one-two with Harry Kane before unleashing a low and centre first-time strike from 20 yards.

Instead of making an easy stop, United custodian Onana let the ball slip through his fingertips and into the net – and he took full responsibility for the loss afterwards.

Afterward, Onana bravely faced the TNT Sports cameras and stated, “It’s difficult.” We began off strong, but following my error, we lost control of the game.

“It’s a difficult situation, especially for me, because I let the team down.”

“This is the life of a keeper.” I need to learn from it, be strong, and move on. But we lost because of me.”

At halftime, ex-Manchester United and Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves lambasted Onana on TNT Sports, stating, “”You just have to save that.

“I’m not sure if he doesn’t get his feet set, but that ball just can’t go in.” He immediately recognises Onana.

“Sane doesn’t get a strong contact on it; he just has to keep that out.”

“He’s shaking his head, irritated. He understands he can’t make that mistake.”

“Nightmare scenario for Onana,” another commentator and Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand added.

“He’s as sure with his feet as you like. It’s a huge blunder.”

While Paul Scholes stated, “He knows he’s made a big mistake.”

Even United fans admitted that they were unable to defend their custodian afterwards.

“OH MY GOD ONANA,” one person tweeted, while another said, “I can’t defend you.”

Along with crying and laughing emoticons, another Red Devil said, “Better than De Gea.” Mr. Andre Onana.”

“Onana is dreadful,” one viewer said, while another called his howler “absolutely shocking.”

“Onana is a disgrace,” shouted another, who was echoed by another who tweeted, “What a clown.”

David De Gea, United’s long-serving custodian, was permitted to depart the club after his contract expired in June.

Manager Erik ten Hag moved to bring Onana from Inter Milan due to the Cameroon international’s outstanding footwork and shot-stopping abilities.

But the star’s Old Trafford debut was marred by a chip from the halfway line, and tonight’s gaffe will go down in history as well.

And that raises more questions about Ten Hag’s custodian options after the Dutchman named THREE to the bench for tonight’s game against Bayern.

To make matters worse, Serge Gnabry extended the lead just before halftime.

Despite Rasmus Hojlund drawing one back after the break, Harry Kane’s penalty swiftly restored Bayern’s two-goal lead before a frenzied end.

Casemiro made it 3-2 before Mathys Tel scored Bayern’s fourth, only for United’s Brazilian midfielder to head in his team’s third with the final kick of the game.
