Man Utd suffered a setback due to an injury update involving their new signing, not Amrabat

Manchester United fans will have to wait a little longer before seeing Sofyan Amrabat make his debut

Due to an injury sustained while serving his country abroad, the midfielder was forced to withdraw from the Morocco team.

According to a report by talkSPORT, he is now anticipated to miss this weekend as the Red Devils get ready for their next match against Brighton and Hove Albion. Erik ten Hag will only use him when he is totally fit in order to prevent making anything worse and is hesitant to take any chances with him.

On deadline day, United signed the 27-year-old to an initial loan agreement. They do, however, have the option to make his move to England permanent in the future.

Walid Regragui, the manager of Morocco, issued the following update on his condition: “Sofyan sensed something. We released him out of an abundance of caution as he had only recently begun his new journey with Manchester United.

When he is fully recovered, Amrabat will provide the Red Devils with greater depth and competition in the middle of the park. Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, Mason Mount, and Lisandro Martinez are also currently sidelined from competition in addition to him.

Before making the move to Belgium as a young player in 2018 to join Club Brugge, the man from Holland began his career with stints at FC Utrecht and Feyenoord. Before leaving the exit door, he played two years in the Pro League, spending some of that time on loan with Hellas Verona.

He was signed by Fiorentina in 2020, and since then, he has played an important role for them in Serie A. His parent team has recently advanced to the Coppa Italia and Europa Conference League finals thanks to his 107 appearances in all competitions and one goal.
