‘No winning spirit’ – Ten Hag vow to sell Man United’s four worst players in 3-2 defeat to Galatasaray

Ten Hag on the latest Manchester United defeat: “We will stick together.”

Following Tuesday’s 3-2 Champions League loss to Galatasaray, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag stated that the club is “sticking together.”

United’s defeat was their sixth in their previous ten games in all competitions, putting them bottom of Champions League Group A and tenth in the Premier League.

“Last season was brilliant, terrific, more than we can expect, but there would be gaps in this project, and this moment is a very difficult period,” Ten Hag said after the game.

“We are fighting together, we will stick together, we are behind each other; me, the directors, and the team will fight together.” We know we can do better, and we will succeed together.

“I, along with my squad, am responsible for this team and its outcome.” We must improve, but I have witnessed a team with great energy and one that is supported by the public from start to finish. Finally, the fans, like us, are disappointed. But the beautiful thing about this team is that they always find the energy.”

Goalkeeper André Onana made a bad ball to Galatasaray forward Mauro Icardi, resulting in Casemiro being given a penalty and sent off. The inaccuracy comes after a difficult start to life at Old Trafford, with a mistake in their previous Champions League defeat allowing Bayern Munich to score first.

“We are happy with our goalkeeping group,” Ten Hag remarked. “Andre was in a Champions League final last season and is one of the best goalkeepers in the world.” We’ve already witnessed his exceptional abilities and personality. “He will make a mistake and recover, and I am confident he will do so again,” he said.

“There are no justifications. Maybe we’re lopsided [on the] left side, but we can’t keep making the mistakes we’re making, and we have to do better.”
