An update on Manchester United’s attempt to sign Sofyan Amrabat this summer has been given by Fabrizio Romano

Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund have already joined the Red Devils’ roster this summer, but Erik ten Hag isn’t done yet.

The Dutchman is rumored to be looking for another midfielder, and Fiorentina’s Amrabat has emerged as the team’s top target after the pair previously collaborated at Utrecht.

Meanwhile, the Serie A team fed rumors by leaving him off of their roster for the preseason games last weekend.

The Manchester Evening News reports that Fiorentina is eager to recover £30 million for the Moroccan international, but United is steadfast in its £21 million assessment.

Although Amrabat’s entrance is contingent on the exits of current players from the team, transfer analyst Romano has stated that negotiations are ongoing between United and the 26-year-old.

On Tuesday, Romano said on his YouTube channel: “Talks are happening between Amrabat and Man United

“The player wants to transfer, but it’s important to realize that in order to move forward with a deal, a bid and a conversation between clubs are required. When Manchester United pays off some of the expenses, this will take place.

“Manchester United will be busy with many transactions today and over the coming days. West Ham’s Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay. Although the initial offer was turned down, Man United and West Ham are still in discussion over Maguire and McTominay.

“Fred will definitely depart Manchester United this summer, followed by Donny van de Beek. Real Sociedad and United haven’t reached a deal yet, but the teams are in contact since the player is eager to transfer.

Additionally, according to the Daily Mail, United could sell forgotten center-back Eric Bailly to Saudi Arabia to assist raise the money needed to finalize a deal for Amrabat.
