“official Man United sources…”: Journalist has just shared latest Old Trafford update involving Amrabat

Manchester United’s £30,000-a-week star has said that he ‘wants to move’ to Old Trafford.

Manchester United’s pursuit of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has been widely publicised this summer, and journalist Ben Jacobs has now revealed a hopeful boost in the club’s pursuit of the 26-year-old when speaking to GIVEMESPORT.

Erik ten Hag is eager to keep the ball rolling until tomorrow’s 11 p.m. deadline, after spending roughly £164 million on three new arrivals this season.

Manchester United transfer news: Sofyan Amrabat

Manchester United appeared to be well-prepared for the important 2023/24 season until Mason Mount sustained an injury, leaving the club’s midfield options empty. The Red Devils have now shifted their focus to engine room reinforcements, since the centre of the park has been dangerously low in terms of performance  in their first three Premier League games.

Ten Hag has long been interested in Fiorentina’s Amrabat, but negotiations did not take place until the last days of the summer, in pure Manchester United fashion. According to The Athletic, the Old Trafford club filed a loan deal worth €2 million in two installments, but Fiorentina rejected it because the break option only guaranteed a €1 million payout.

Amrabat’s Serie A managers have agreed to make his Old Trafford transition a loan as long as an obligation to buy is inserted in the contract, according to 90min’s transfer analyst Graeme Bailey. In conversations with the necessary parties, personal terms have already been agreed upon. Jacobs now reports that the La Viola star is looking forward to  Manchester United to make a move because he wants a new challenge in the Premier League.

Ben Jacobs spoke about Manchester United and Sofyan Amrabat.

Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT: “With Sofyan Amrabat, it’s just dragged on, hasn’t it?” Especially since Manchester United signed Rasmus Hojlund, there was perhaps a deceptive notion in the media that Manchester United would bid swiftly, and I believe that’s precisely what Amrabat wanted to happen.

“However, this one has dragged on until the final hours of the window.” Manchester United, on the other hand, would prefer to strengthen in that midfield position. And the most intriguing aspect of all of this is whether or not Manchester United will pull off a loan. Some reports claim they’ve already made a pitiful loan offer, but Manchester United sources say they’ve discussed a loan but haven’t necessarily bid formally for one, and there’s still a chance it’ll be a straight deal worth just over £20 million. So, Manchester United and Fiorentina must decide whether they can reach an agreement since Amrabat is waiting and wants to join Manchester United.”
