Report: 25-year-old currently undergoing medical ahead of potential move to Manchester United

Altay Bayindir is presently having a medical before possibly joining Manchester United.

Altay Bayindir is now undergoing medical examinations by Manchester United in preparation for a prospective move to bring him to Old Trafford this summer.

The Athletic reports that Manchester United has been interested in the Fenerbahce goalkeeper for some time, but they need more information about the 25-year-old’s back issues before they sign him.

Erik ten Hag, the manager of United, is looking for a top-tier replacement for Andre Onana, and Bayindir might be the right candidate.

The Turkey international is very highly regarded in his homeland, and would be a superb number two for the Red Devils.

But the Fenerbahce star’s transfer to Manchester is far from certain.

Altay Bayindir is presently having a medical before possibly joining Manchester United.

According to a report from The Athletic, if United is pleased with the results of the medical examinations, they will be able to buy him for somewhat more than £4 million.

The international player from Turkey is dominant in the air and a very good shot-stopper at 6 feet 6 inches tall.

Bayindir has only let up 162 goals and preserved 44 clean sheets in 145 games for Fenerbahce.

I don’t think the 25-year-old is good enough to be Old Trafford’s starting goalkeeper, but he is more than capable of filling in as United’s backup.

I believe it will be a fair deal for Manchester United if they buy Altay Bayindir for £4 million this summer.
