Luke Shaw will be out for a number of weeks with an unidentified muscular ailment, according to Manchester United.

The left-back from England has started both of United’s Premier League contests this year. Shaw has occupied the left back position consistently for Erik ten Hag.

Due to a muscular disorder, Shaw will be side lined for a considerable amount of time. There is no estimated return date. He will miss England’s forthcoming European Qualifiers after missing Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest.

Luke Shaw, a defender for Manchester United, “has suffered an injury that will keep him out of the next few games,” the club announced in a statement.

The England left-back’s muscular issue is still being assessed, but he is anticipated to be sidelined for a number of weeks. United are now getting ready for Saturday’s Premier League match against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford.

On Friday, Ten Hag will give a more thorough update on United’s injury issue during his pre-game press conference. Tyrell Malacia is also injured and unavailable, giving United few options.
