Who Arsenal could face in Champions League last-16 after winning group in style as The Arteta Men set to face Tougher opponent that will disgrace them out of the Champions League

Arsenal continued their remarkable Champions League comeback with a resounding 6-0 victory over Lens, securing their spot in the round of sixteen.

The Gunners’ lone group stage loss came from the French team’s victory in the rematch. On Wednesday night at the Emirates Stadium, when a win guarantees top spot but a point was required to qualify, six different players found the net.

Arsenal knows that, with one round of games left, they will play one of the group runners-up in the round of 16. Mirror Football has the information on who they might play next, but there are still unanswered questions in the other groups.

There are just two clubs guaranteed a second-place finish in their group with one game remaining. Arsenal’s opponents in the group stage are PSV, whom they cannot play against again, and RB Leipzig, whom they may play.

In the round of 16, teams from the same nation cannot play each other. As a result, the Gunners cannot be matched against Newcastle or Manchester United, who can both place second in their respective groups.

Arsenal’s remaining alternatives are as follows: Napoli or Braga, Real Sociedad or Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid or Lazio, Borussia Dortmund, PSG or AC Milan, RB Leipzig, Barcelona, Porto or Shakhtar Donetsk, and Galatasaray or FC Copenhagen. This is dependent on who comes second in their respective groups.

It is more plausible for some of those opponents than for others. Dortmund needs just one point from their own last game to top their group and avoid the Gunners, while Barcelona is all but guaranteed first place in their group with one of Porto or Shakhtar predicted to finish as runner-up.
