A youngster was jailed after making an unsuccessful effort to steal a valuable Celebrini hockey card, according to a recent report from Ontario. The adolescent responded to a Facebook Marketplace advertisement regarding the card earlier this week, according to the report, but he never intended to buy it. Instead, he waited for the vendor to become sidetracked before grabbing the card and trying to escape on foot.
The authorities were able to locate the adolescent with ease because to surveillance footage and a follow-up inquiry, finally knocking on the door of his home where the teenager answered the door in the same attire he is accused of having committed the robbery.
Even if stealing a hockey card appears harmless at first glance, the adolescent may face grave consequences because of the high value that some of these cards have among collectors. Due to the alleged perpetrator’s age, no more information was revealed, however the adolescent has been charged with theft exceeding $5,000.
