According to The Athletic and Moroccan midfielder Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils are close to finalising a loan agreement with the player.
The 27-year-old will likely join till the end of the 2023–24 campaign, with a potential summer 2019 permanent move.
At Old Trafford, Amrabat will have a selection of shirt numbers to choose from; the numbers 4, 13, 15, and 17 are now available ahead of the new season.
Additionally, the third and fifth seats can become available if Harry Maguire and Eric Bailly decide to leave on the final day. While Amrabat is anticipated to select the number 4, which is also his Morocco number.
