Sofyan Amrabat won’t be making his debut for Manchester United against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, according to manager Erik ten Hag.

The Moroccan international has been dealing with a small back issue lately, and it doesn’t look like he will be ready for tomorrow’s Premier League match.

The summer acquisition won’t be available tomorrow, but Ten Hag recently told MUTV (via Man Utd.com) that he won’t be too far from making his debut.

Amrabat, he returned with an unlucky injury, so he won’t be available for tomorrow (Saturday), but I believe on short notice [soon], yes, he will.

The 27-year-old was linked with a move to Old Trafford all summer, and on the day before the transfer deadline, United decided to sign him.

Due to Financial Fair Play regulations, the club was unable to afford a permanent transfer, but they were able to secure his temporary employment with a buyout option.

He was brought to Old Trafford by the hierarchy for a significant loan price of €10 million, which shows the club values him as a long-term player.

Amrabat began his professional playing career at Utrecht under Ten Hag, and the midfielder is anxious to make a good first impression on his coach.

Even if his debut isn’t scheduled for tomorrow, it might not be long until he enters the game.

Amrabat and Casemiro were spotted interacting on the pitch. Amrabat’s excellent passing and ball-control abilities might be the ideal complement to Casemiro’s fierce tackling abilities.
