On Saturday, experienced NHL player Evander Kane made a harsh statement in which he criticized his ex-wife, Anna Kane, for several accused actions.
In his statement, Evander Kane expressed that he had reached his limit and could no longer stay silent, but sadly, he might have stirred up more trouble.
This kind of public statement was bound to add fuel to an ongoing conflict between the two ex-partners, and sure enough, just a few minutes after Evander Kane spoke out, Anna Kane replied through social media.
As you might expect, Anna Kane disagrees with her ex-husband’s accusations and shared what she claims are legal papers to back up her side of the story. These supposed documents are dated September 2023 and came along with Anna Kane’s statement:
“Evander Frank Kane in a legal testimony stating that he hasn’t tried to get any time with my daughter when the opposite is true, also confessing that I have never harmed my child,” Anna Kane posted on her Instagram. “This is a legal testimony, not just a ‘statement’ for Instagram. This is under oath. ”
No matter which side you support in this situation, the timing for Evander Kane couldn’t be worse. The long-time NHL player is likely to leave his current team, the Vancouver Canucks, when his contract ends at the close of this season, and you have to wonder how this drama might affect his chances of getting a new contract with another NHL team.
It’s clear that Evander Kane is not the same player he used to be, and with all the extra drama around him, this might lead him to miss another season in the NHL.
