Marcus Rashford claims he’s working hard off the pitch to connect with Rasmus Hojlund at Manchester United.
“I am honestly super excited about it,” he remarked. Last year, we would go on counter-attacks and only see the shirts of other bodies, and usually, the only cut-back was to Bruno [Fernandes], who was arriving later.
“Whereas this year, you have to understand the dynamics have changed, so we have spoken to each other and done a little bit of work off the pitch, probably that the coaching staff don’t even know, between [just] me and him.”
“I just want to understand his game and have him understand mine as soon as possible.” So far, so good, and we obviously had the unlucky one against Brighton that was disallowed, but then we had one in the next game when we collaborated for a goal, so I am extremely happy for him.
“I’m sure it’s a relationship that will benefit both players, so I’m excited for it, excited for the future, and I’m also excited that we have so many games coming up because it gives us so many chances to show who we are.”

Hojlund has previously demonstrated his talent at Manchester United. The 20-year-old scored in Bayern Munich’s Champions League defeat.
He’ll line up alongside Rashford against Crystal Palace today.
