Man City’s Rodri Star Verified His £50 million international deal is set to go personal in January when he joins Manchester United

Manchester United is attempting to strengthen its defence, which has suffered due to multiple injury issues this season.

Without Lisandro Martinez, the Red Devils have struggled tremendously, and World Cup winner Raphael Varane may even be benched in the summer by Erik ten Hag.

In one such scenario, the Old Trafford team is linked to numerous centre backs, including Robin Le Normand of Real Sociedad.

Rumours from a month ago stated that Man Utd was getting ready to acquire the Spaniard to strengthen their defence.

More recently, the Spanish outlet Nacional revealed that Manchester United is willing to pay the £52 million release clause to sign Le Normand.

Real Sociedad expressed interest in the central defender as early as the summer, but the 20-time English champions refused to enter into talks.

As a result, Man Utd wants to exercise the £52 million clause to avoid negotiations this time around, according to the Catalan website.

Le Normand was essential to La Roja’s UEFA Nations League triumph in June. In addition, he took part in each and every European Championships (2024) qualification game since then.

In their most recent game against Georgia, the 27-year-old scored his first goal for Spain, and they went on to win 3-1.

What is your opinion on Man Utd spending the required £52 million to get Robin Le Normand?
