Man United star player announced to replace Fernandes in captain role after poor performance

Manchester United’s most crucial player unable to play in the derby

It was another tough afternoon for Manchester United on Sunday.

Erik ten Hag’s side were thumped 3-0 by Manchester City at Old Trafford, with Erling Haaland scoring a brace and setting up Phil Foden’s strike. A lot of the blame was pinned on United skipper Bruno Fernandes, who struggled to make his presence felt.

Roy Keane has urged Ten Hag to take the armband off Fernandes, just a few months after giving it to him. He said: “The one thing I would do, after today having watched him again, I would definitely take the captaincy off him, 100 per cent. I know it was a big decision to change the captaincy with (Harry) Maguire, but Fernandes is not captain material.”

Who next then to take the Captain role off from Fernandes if Roy Keane demand will be made?

Litegoal understands that there are five players that can fit in the role perfectly which includes;

Casemiro:

Casemiro gas been exceptional since joining Manchester United and gas that leadership spirit in him.

Martinez:

Martinez has been the key player at the back line for Man United last season and has shown leadership spirit as well.

Varane:

Varane can also serve well as Man United Captain as he has done that in previous matches.

Shaw:

Shaw is the oldest player at Man United and he is on good shape since his return from long term injury. Giving him the Captain band will also serve well for the club.

Dalot:

Dalot is up and down in his performance but he is one of the Manchester United players that are showing passion on the pitch.

On United Captaincy role. What did you think is wrong with Bruno Fernandes? And possible player to take from him if things falls apart.
