Manchester United players want to see Mason Greenwood returned to the squad
Greenwood has been left in “limbo” as United again delay their decision on whether to bring back the forward after assault charges were dropped earlier this year.
It’s claimed the latest delay is due to the board wanting to consult United’s womens team with members still involved with the World Cup. However, it appears talks over phone or video appear out of the question
Meanwhile, teammates are growing frustrated with the way Greenwood is being treated. A source told The Sun: “All the players believe he deserves a second chance because he’s innocent in the eyes of the law.
“He didn’t have the opportunity to clear his name in court because the charges were dropped, so the players feel like he has been left in limbo
“They know it will be difficult but they are willing to support him through it and protect him.
“Some of the younger players came through the academy with him so there’s a loyalty to him.”
