Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, is facing a great deal of criticism at Old Trafford following a subpar start to the season.

After a humiliating loss in the Champions League on Wednesday night, Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag will be under pressure at Old Trafford. Journalist Dean Jones has talked about the club’s internal concerns regarding his future with GIVEMESPORT.

This week in Europe, the Red Devils lost to Copenhagen, which increased the strain on ten Hag. United has only won one of its four games and lost the other three, leaving them at the bottom of their group.

Ten Hag’s team hasn’t had much success at home, as they’ve found it difficult to field a consistent squad in the Premier League.

United has already dropped five of its previous 11 Premier League games, with a number of their wins coming despite subpar play. The manager is under growing pressure after a difficult start, and their most recent 4-3 loss will surely prompt more inquiries about his future.

While some fans have demanded that the manager be removed from his position and fired, Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth told GIVEMESPORT that the Dutch tactician will not do any better than players like Zinedine Zidane or Carlo Ancelotti.

Hag has suffered 14 losses at Old Trafford, five of which have come this season, a sign of the team’s decline in play. It’s evident that the manager is not getting much out of the current group, so it will be intriguing to watch if the board decides to make a major decision quickly.

According to Jones, United will keep supporting Ten Hag and he doesn’t think he’ll be let go. During a GIVEMESPORT interview, he said

However, United seem to be standing by him at the moment, and I have some exciting news for Man United supporters: I don’t think he’ll be let go.”

In actuality, he feels comfortable doing his work at the club. Although I don’t think he is under pressure to keep his job, he is under pressure to perform. Against Copenhagen, his game plan was clicking, and United was winning handily when Rashford received a dubious red card. That’s when things went wrong. “Is the manager really to blame?”

Jones has also said that he doesn’t think things will get much better if ten Hag is removed from his job. The author continues, saying United should have faith in him for the long run and allow him to fulfil his own goals.

In my view, it is preferable to entrust him with your long-term project and let him fulfil his own expectations rather than paying him back, starting over, and going into the unknown because he fully believes in his own qualifications and views himself as a winner.
