Retirement Date Announced – Cristiano Ronaldo ‘tells Al-Nassr and Portugal his retirement plan’ after Eden Hazard announced his retirement

Cristiano Ronaldo wants to play until he’s 42, and he wants Al Nassr to extend his contract until 2027.

Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants to extend his contract with Al-Nassr until 2027 in order to be competitive for the 2026 World Cup.

According to rumours, Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo wants to extend his contract with Al-Nassr until 2027 in order to compete in the 2026 World Cup.

Ronaldo, 38, joined the Saudi Arabian club in December of last year and has succeeded thus far, putting an end to speculation of a downturn with 25 goals and eight assists in 30 games for the Faris Najd.

Ronaldo wishes to compete at the next World Cup.

Ronaldo’s diminished role for the Selecao at the past World Cup, in which he was put to the bench for crucial matches and PSG’s Goncalo Ramos was preferred over him, raised the prospect of his retiring after the disastrous campaign.

However, he showed no signs of slowing down, and the Portugal captain has regained his relevance under new manager Roberto Martinez since the tournament’s conclusion.

With his longtime rival Lionel Messi also winning the World Cup in Qatar, Ronaldo is thought to want to give it another shot.

Ronaldo requests contract extension

According to football journalist Ali Al-Harbi, the former Real Madrid great has informed the club’s administration that he wishes to extend his contract until 2027, when he will be 42.

“Cristiano Ronaldo informed the management of the Saudi #النصر club before travelling to the Portuguese national team camp that he wants to renew his contract until the beginning of 2027,” Al Harbi stated in an interview with X.

“Cristiano wants to play in the 2026 World Cup while he is a player for Al-Nassr Club, and then he will announce his retirement from football.”

Ronaldo will be 41 at the 2026 World Cup, which will be held by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, but he feels he will be in good physical shape, according to this source.
