In the transfer saga, Sofyan Amrabat chooses Manchester United over Liverpool.
Sofyan Amrabat has made it clear that he wants to join Manchester United, despite interest from archrivals Liverpool during the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old midfielder, who formerly played for Fiorentina, signed a season-long loan agreement with the Red Devils, with the potential of a permanent move at the conclusion of the season if he performs well in the Premier League.
Amrabat’s outstanding displays at the World Cup in Qatar last year apparently piqued Liverpool’s interest, with rumours circulating that Jurgen Klopp personally engaged the player’s agent in talks regarding a prospective deal.
However, Amrabat ultimately chose to reunite with Erik ten Hag at Manchester United. The Morocco international had previously been part of Ten Hag’s squad at Utrecht at the outset of his career, and he found the opportunity to work with the Dutchman again too enticing to pass up.
